Kazakhstan decreases wheat exports forecast.

Kazakhstan decreased grain exports forecast to 5.5mn tones of wheat for the current marketing year due to high level of inflation. The original forecast was set 6mn tones of wheat for this year. To remind you, CPI inflation made up 8.4% y/y in Jan-Apr while the government project this years inflation in corridor of 6-8% y/y. As reported, in March, the Agriculture Ministry lowered wheat export forecast from 7mn to 6mn tones in order to provide wheat for the domestic market. The country forecasts that it will gather 15-16mn tones of grain this year.
