EE: Estonian medicines market up by 4.7% y/y in Q1.

Estonian medicines market amounted to EUR 49.4mn in wholesale prices in Q1, which indicates increase of 4.7% y/y. In Q1 sales to general pharmacies amounted to EUR 34.9mn, while sales to hospital pharmacies stood at EUR 12.2mn, while other institutions bought medicines in amount of EUR 2.3mn, State Agency of Medicines announced. General pharmacies turnover in Q1 increased by 1.3% y/y to EUR 58mn, while hospital pharmacies turnover grew by 23.5% y/y to EUR 17.7mn. There were total of 297 operating general pharmacies, and 173 their structural units. There were 764 registered pharmacists working in pharmacies in Q1.
