A Tajik journalist has questioned why on earth Tajikistan is not indicated on a map in a children's atlas published by a Russian publishing house.
Zulfia Golubeva posed the question after viewing the children’s atlas published by Prof-Press and, to her astonishment, discovering that there is no Tajikistan on the map. She shared a video and photo of “The World Atlas for Children” on social networks, reported Asia-Plus.
The journalist's post attracted many indignant comments from netizens.
“How could they not indicate an entire country?” complained one.
Asia-Plus said it discovered that the atlas has been sold in Tajikistan’s bookstores for four years, but the error appeared to have gone unnoticed until now.
It said a popular Tajik store that sells the Atlas was awaiting a response on the matter from Prof-Press.
