Kia Motors may launch production in Turkey.

Deputy Chairman of Kia Motors, Kenny Lee, announces that the company may consider launching production in Turkey, in Hyundai Assans production facilities, if the sales in the domestic market reach a reasonable level. However, CEO of Hyundai Assan, Won-Shin Chang, responds that capacity of Hyundais production facility in Turkey is not sufficient to share the plants with Kia. On a related note, General Manager of Kias local distributor, Bora Kocak, told daily Zaman that the company sold 10,000 units of vehicles last year and targets to sell 15,000 units this year.
