At a general affairs meeting in Brussels, the Council of the EU reiterated its call on Bosnia's political leaders to urgently form a state level government, a release on the council's website informs. The EU institution also appealed for addressing the outstanding and necessary reforms to achieve qualitative progress on the road to Union membership. The Council noted with serious concern the continued political impasse, hindering the proper functioning of the state and the implementation of EU-related reforms. The EU institution said that all Bosnian political leaders should develop a shared vision of the country's future. The statement concluded, "The Council reiterates its unequivocal commitment to the European perspective of BiH. It also reaffirms its unequivocal commitment to the territorial integrity of BiH as a sovereign and united country." |
