Macedonia's Securities and Exchange Commission announced that it has approved amendments and supplements to the trading rules of the Macedonian Stock Exchange that envisage the introduction of market makers. The market makers will contribute to increasing the trading volume and liquidity of the respective securities, while reducing the volatility of their prices. One bourse member may be market maker of one or more securities, while one security may have one or more marker makers. The market makers in the financial markets are also called specialists or liquidity providers.
