Kazakhstan is interested in transportation of oil from Tengiz field via the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan pipeline, Umirzhak Shukeyev, head of national welfare fund SamrukKazyna has informed. He added that a compromise is planned on disputable price issues. Kazakhstan used to send oil via the pipeline but stopped after transportation tariff was increased. According to Shukeyev, oil producer at Tengizchevroil (50% owned by Chevron) wants to sell its oil at the end of the BTC pipeline.
