EE: Every other Estonian owns car in 2011.

As of end-2011 there were 500 vehicles per 1,000 residents in Estonia, market research company Tehnokeskus indicates. Number of vehicles per 1,000 residents increased by 9% y/y in 2011, while number of cars increased by 5.4% y/y. 685,000 vehicles were registered in Estonia as of end-2011, of which 429,000 cars were older than 10 years. Share of cars with age from 3-5 years declined by 3.3pp y/y to 12% in 2011. Number of new cars registration in 2011 reached the levels of 2008, up from the lowest level of 1,753 cars per month in 2009. In 2011, the share of new cars among the first registrations were 38%, up by 2pp y/y.
