A Montenegrin court has moved the hearing on the creditor claims against privately-held Vektra Montenegro to March 18 from February 21 upon a request of the company's bankruptcy receiver, news agency Mina-Business reported. Zdravko Cicmil has asked for the extension because of the complexity of the case, in which 76 claim applications have been filed. Furthermore, the case involves assets of large scale, Cicmil said, adding he hopes all needed work will be carrying out by the new date. Cicmil said in mid-January that back then a total of 65 applications for claims were received worth a combined EUR 185.2mn. The largest claims belong to Swiss financial firm NLB InterFinanz ( EUR 60mn including interest), OTP Bank ( EUR 75mn) and its Montenegrin arm - Crnogorska Komercijalna Banka (EUR 29mn). Furthermore, the company's employees seek EUR 1.3mn of wages arrears. The diversified corporation owned by businessman Dragan Brkovic entered into bankruptcy at the end of last year. Vektro Montenegro was referred to as the largest privately-held company in Montenegro. |
