Albanian cabinet oks loan agreement with Germanys KfW on waste management.

The Albanian government has approved a number of agreements signed with German development bank KfW that will finance a solid waste management project in the southeastern part of the country, the Albanian finance ministry informed. The German bank will extend a EUR 3.4nm loan, which will be used to fund the construction of landfills and transfer stations. The 40-year loan will have a grace period of 10 years and carry an annual interest rate of 0.75%. KfW will also support the projects through two grants with a combined value of EUR 6.4mn.
