Romanian industrial price inflation decelerates to 5.8% y/y in June.

Romanias industrial producer price inflation decelerated to 5.8% y/y in June from 6.7% y/y a month earlier, the countrys statistics office said in a statement. The industrial prices edged down by a monthly 0.2% in June. In the manufacturing sector, the annual industrial price inflation eased to 6.1% y/y from 7.4% in May as prices edged down by 0.3% m/m. The PPI/CPI differential narrowed to 3.7pps from 4.9pps a month earlier as the inflationary pressures thus diminished. Nonetheless, higher industrial prices as well as the currency depreciation still exert certain pressures on the consumer prices.
