Croatia sells EUR 116.8mn in Treasury bills, yields drop.

Croatia's finance ministry said it sold EUR 116.8mn in Treasury bills at its April 3 auction. A total of HRK 662mn (EUR 88.1mn) of the sold securities were denominated in kuna, while the remaining EUR 28.7mn were denominated in euro, the ministry said in a statement. The planned amount of the kuna-denominated T-bills stood at HRK 250mn, while that of the euro-denominated T-bills was EUR 30mn. The ministry sold HRK 200mn worth of three-month kuna-denominated T-bills after receiving bids for HRK 322mn. It also sold HRK 75mn of six-month kuna-denominated T-bills after receiving bids of HRK 199mn and placed HRK 387mn of one-year kuna-denominated T-bills after receiving bids of HRK 726mn. The yields on the three-month T-bills stood at 3.55% (dropping from previous 3.8%), on the six-month T-bills at 4.23% (dropping from last weeks 4.45%) and on the one-year T-bills at 4.6% (inching down from last weeks 4.9%). The ministry also sold a three-month issue of euro-denominated T-bills worth EUR 12.9mn, yielding 3.74% (down from last weeks 3.89%), and a EUR 15.8mn one-year euro-denominated T-bills issue, yielding 4.24% (down from previous 4.39%).
