Albanias FDI up 21% y/y in Jan-Sep 2012.

Net foreign direct investment (FDI) in Albania increased by 21% y/y to EUR 541mn in January to September 2012, data from the central bank showed. FDI in Albania totalled EUR 551mn, up 20.3% y/y, while Albanian investments abroad decreased by 9.1% y/y to EUR 10mn. The inflows of equity capital and reinvested earnings increased by 4.5% y/y to EUR 578mn in the first nine months on 2012. The balance on the other capital account improved to minus EUR 27mn from minus EUR 95mn in Jan-Sep 2011.
