Macedonias central bank sells EUR 148.9mn of 28-day bills at regular auction.

The central bank announced that it sold at the regular weekly auction 28-day central bank bills with a total amount of MKD 9.16bn (EUR 148.9mn). The yield on the bills remains fixed at 4%. The bills are used by the authority to manage the liquidity of the banking system. Those debt securities usually have 28-day maturity. Bills with a total amount of MKD 9.53bn matured yesterday, March 7, and the outstanding amount of the instrument thus decreased by MKD 372mn to MKD 36.4bn.
