Lithuania’s telecom Bite Lietuva pays €30mn for Mezon

One of Lithuania's largest telecoms company, Bite Lietuva, has acquired the Mezon internet, data transmission and IPTV business from state-owned Lietuvos Radijo ir Televizijos Centras (Lithuanian Radio and Television Center, Telecentras), for nearly almost €30mn. Bite stated the purchase in its Q4 2020 report presented to investors.

Bite said the Mezon deal was finalised on January 1. In December, Bite made the first payment of €15mn to Telecentras and plans to pay the other half later this year.
