Kazakhstan to increase pensions by 9% starting January 2012.

Kazakhstan will increase pensions by 9% starting from January 2012. The relevant decree was signed by PM Karim Masimov on Dec 20. The document envisages an increase in pension payments for retired people, long service soldiers, law enforcement officers with certain ranks and awards, and others by 9% from the Pension Center since Jan 1, 2012.
