Kazakhstan raises investment in Tajikistan.

Investors from Kazakhstan are increasing investments into Tajikistan as they see the economic potential of the country. A subsidiary of the Samruk-Kazyna National Welfare Fund, the Kazakhstan-Tajikistan Private Equity Fund is currently thinking of a projects with a potential investment amount of USD 15mn. Over the H1/2011, the Fund considered more than 30 promising projects, 4 of which are being negotiated actively now. The Fund plans to invest in projects from different sectors: mining, agriculture, telecommunications and finance among others. The founders of the Kazakhstan-Tajikistan Private Equity Fund are Tajikistans State Committee on Investments and State Property Management and Kazyna Capital Management JSC.
