Estonian Minister of Economy and Communications Juhan Parts indicated that the Polish government agreed to invest in high-speed railway connection from Warsaw to Lithuanian border. Slawomir Nowak, Minister of Transport in Poland, indicated that in 2020 at the latest it will be possible to travel from Warsaw to Lithuanian border in trains travelling at speeds of up to 160 km per hour. Parts indicated that Polands involvement and commitment to the project indicates that it is not a project of the three Baltic States, but of Poland, Finland, and European Union too.
