Czech sales in services down 1.5% in 2011.

Czech sales in services decreased by 1.5% in 2011 pulled down by the professional, scientific and technical activities, the statistics office said. In the fourth quarter alone, sales in services fell by 2.6% y/y in non-adjusted terms and by 2.2% y/y in working day-adjusted terms. Seasonally-adjusted they stagnated on the quarter. Sales in administrative and support service activities registered the highest annual growth of 4.3% in the fourth quarter, followed by the transpiration and storage sector with a 1.2% rise. Sales in professional, scientific and technical activities dropped by 9.1% and in the real estate sector by 3.8%.
