Poland's Aug 2011 retail sales down by 2% y/y - Eurostat.

Poland's seasonally-adjusted retail sales trade inched up by 0.5% m/m and fell by 2% y/y in August 2011, Eurostat reported. The average retail sales index for the EU edged up by 0.8% m/m, but was down by 0.2% in annual terms. Poland's statistics office had earlier reported that retail sales rose by 1.1% m/m and by 11.3% y/y in July.
