Since late 2017, Oppenheimer Funds, a family of major investment funds, has invested again in NASDAQ-listed Yandex, according to the latest filing submitted to the US Securities and Exchange Commission, reports East-West Digital News (EWDN).

The US investment firm reportedly boosted its stake in the Russian company from 1.8% to 6.41% or 18.365mn shares as of December 31, 2018.

Yandex stock is worth $30.81 per share as of today, January 21, which values the whole Oppenheimer Funds stake at some $565mn.

After being the largest portfolio investor in Yandex with 36.4mn class A shares (11.48% of equity, 4.2% of votes), Oppenheimer Funds pulled out entirely at the end of 2015.

Oppenheimer Funds started investing in Yandex again in Q4 2017, buying 5.1mn shares, the news agency Interfax reported.
