Indonesia is planning to improve economic co-operation with Thailand. As reported by Dow Jones International News, President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono stated that there were still opportunities to increase cooperation in trade. Both the countries have identified ways to enhance mutual economic cooperation and trade, especially in the areas of industry, energy, and tourism. The potential areas that are likely to be paid attention are agriculture, fisheries and tourism sectors. The bilateral trade between both the countries amounted to about USD 12bn in 2010. |
