Awaza National Tourist Zone, Caspian coast — November 2025.

The Awaza National Tourist Zone on the shores of the Caspian Sea is preparing to welcome delegates and industry leaders to one of Turkmenistan’s most significant economic gatherings — the International Conference & EXPO “Development of the Construction, Industrial, Chemical and Energy Sectors of Turkmenistan”.
The event, to be held on November 3-4, 2025, is timed to coincide with the Day of Construction and Industry Workers of Turkmenistan, symbolising the country’s achievements in infrastructure development, industrialisation, and the energy sector.

Held under the motto “Smart Construction. Clean Energy.Resilient Future..”, CIET 2025 reinforces Turkmenistan’s role as a regional centre for innovation, green technology, and investment cooperation. The conference is organised by the Ministry of Industry and Construction Production of Turkmenistan in partnership with the Turkmen Energy Forum.

Prestigious international participation

For the first time in the forum’s history, DAMAC Properties, one of the Middle East’s leading developers headquartered in Dubai, will participate in CIET 2025.
Renowned for its premium residential, commercial, and hospitality projects, DAMAC has expressed strong interest in investment opportunities within Turkmenistan’s construction and tourism sectors.

Among other prominent participants is Ahmet Çalık, Chairman of Çalık Holding, Turkmenistan’s long-standing strategic partner in infrastructure and energy development. Vladimir Petruk, CEO of Ukraine’s Interbudmontazh Group, will join the plenary session dedicated to sustainable construction and industrial cooperation.

For the first time, companies representing artificial intelligence, digitalisation, and clean energy will feature on the CIET agenda.

Bitdeer Technologies Group, a NASDAQ-listed company specialising in AI-driven computing and data-center solutions, will share its vision for digital transformation and industrial efficiency.

Wirtgen Group (Germany), represented by Andreas Busch, and POSCO International (Republic of Korea), represented by Sanggyu Moon, will present innovations in construction equipment and industrial supply-chain technologies.

In the chemical and fertiliser sectors, Ella Mukerjee, Head of Ammonia and Nitrogen at Fertecon (S&P Global), will deliver an analytical report on investment opportunities in Turkmenistan’s fertiliser and chemical industries.

Richard Dionne, Senior Advisor at CONNEX Support Unit, will discuss prospects for renewable-energy development, while Jeffrey Macdonald, Managing Editor at S&P Global Commodity Insights, will present current data on markets for construction materials, fertilisers, and cement.

Among the forum moderators will be Hermann J. Plenaar, Head of the UN-Habitat Program Department in Nairobi, who will chair the session “Smart and Sustainable Construction: Digitalisation, Innovation and Human Capital Development.”
His participation highlights the synergy between Turkmenistan’s national development priorities and the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.

Key topics and conference sessions

CIET 2025 will open with a plenary session titled “Construction, Energy, and Industry in the Year of Peace and Trust: Sustainable Growth, Investment and Cooperation.”
The session will focus on the role of infrastructure and energy projects in strengthening regional integration, fostering public-private partnerships, and attracting investment.

The conference program will feature discussions across four thematic tracks:

  • Smart and Sustainable Construction — digital technologies, AI, robotics, and training for the future workforce;

  • Resilient Materials and Climate-Adaptive Infrastructure — low-carbon solutions and climate-resilient design;

  • Reliable Energy and Competitive Chemicals Industry — modernisation of gas and petrochemical complexes;

  • Financing the Future — investment mechanisms, green finance, and the development of industrial zones and infrastructure.

Why Awaza?

The decision to host CIET 2025 in Awaza aligns with Turkmenistan’s national strategy for accelerated and balanced economic growth.

The conference will highlight major infrastructure and urban-development initiatives being implemented across the country — from the smart city of Arkadag and large-scale housing projects in Ashgabat to the expansion of industrial zones, transport corridors, and multi-purpose complexes.

By bringing together leading international investors, developers, and technology firms, CIET 2025 aims to promote investment in priority projects across Turkmenistan: modern residential districts, smart-city systems, industrial parks, tourism infrastructure, and integrated construction-energy solutions.

The conference thereby contributes to realising Turkmenistan’s strategic vision of balanced regional development and sustainable industrial-urban growth.

Festive events — including the official opening ceremony, cultural performances, and a gala dinner — will be held to mark the Day of Construction and Industry Workers of Turkmenistan, paying tribute to those who build the nation’s future.

A national platform for global dialogue

With a record number of participants and a comprehensive program, CIET 2025 in Avaza will serve as the premier platform for discussing the future of construction, energy, and industrial development in Turkmenistan.
The forum will showcase the country’s achievements and reaffirm its readiness for broad international cooperation in innovation, green technology, and sustainable growth.

Particular attention will also be devoted to major infrastructure projects launched in celebration of the professional holiday of Turkmen in parallel with CIET 2025:

  • The opening of the automobile bridge across Garabogaz Bay;

  • The ground-breaking of the Turkmenbashi–Garabogaz section of the new Turkmenbashi–Garabogaz–Kazakhstan border highway;

  • The foundation-laying of a urea-production complex in the Turkmenbashi district with an annual capacity of 1.155mn tons;

  • And the opening of a water-treatment facility in the Esenguly district with a capacity of 20,000 cubic metres per day.

These initiatives reaffirm Turkmenistan’s long-term course toward strengthening its industrial base and enhancing the transport-logistics potential of the Caspian region.

CIET 2025 stands as a symbol of Turkmenistan’s progress — a convergence point where innovation, energy, and construction meet to shape a sustainable and technologically advanced future.
