Saudi Arabia's Ministry of Hajj and Umrah has introduced a one-year multiple-entry Umrah visa, allowing pilgrims to enter the kingdom several times with a cumulative stay of up to 90 days.

The visa is valid for 365 days from the date of issuance. Under the new system, holders can travel to Saudi Arabia multiple times during the validity period rather than applying for a fresh visa for each trip, with the 90-day allowance calculated cumulatively across visits.

For each entry, pilgrims must purchase an approved service package through Nusuk, the kingdom's official digital platform for applying for Umrah visas and booking services without intermediaries.

The package duration cannot exceed the number of days remaining on the visa. Before each visit, pilgrims must also obtain an Umrah permit through the Nusuk app, with the permit dates matching the approved package.

The visa is deactivated each time a visitor leaves Saudi Arabia and reactivated for subsequent visits once regulatory requirements are met, with any remaining eligible stay carried forward. It is not valid during the Hajj season, from the first day of Dhu al-Qadah to the 13th of Dhu al-Hijjah.

The ministry said the scheme aimed to make Umrah travel easier, improve services for pilgrims and support the objectives of the kingdom's Vision 2030 reform programme and its Pilgrim Experience Programme.

So far in 2026, Saudi Arabia has welcomed 931,500 pilgrims on Umrah visas, a 22.5% increase on the same period of 2025, with the largest numbers coming from Pakistan, Indonesia and Iraq.
