Flag carrier Qatar Airways said it will operate a limited number of flights in the coming days to assist passengers affected by disruption caused by the temporary closure of Qatari airspace, Emerging Travel reported on March 8.
The airline said scheduled flight operations remain suspended and full services will resume only after the Qatar Civil Aviation Authority (QCAA) confirms the safe and complete reopening of the country’s airspace.
Following temporary authorisation amid ongoing Iranian strikes on the Gulf monarchy, Qatar Airways plans to operate selected services from Doha’s Hamad International Airport to help stranded passengers continue their journeys.
Flights scheduled to depart Doha on March 9 include services to Seoul, Moscow, London Heathrow, Delhi, Madrid, Islamabad, Beijing, Perth and Nairobi.
Additional departures planned for March 10 include Cairo, London Heathrow, Jeddah, Manila, Kochi, Muscat, Istanbul, Mumbai, Delhi, Nairobi, Islamabad, Madrid, Frankfurt, Colombo and Milan.
The airline also outlined a limited number of inbound flights. Arrivals into Doha scheduled for March 10 include services from Seoul, Moscow, London Heathrow, Delhi, Madrid, Islamabad, Beijing, Perth and Nairobi.
Further arrivals planned for March 11 include flights from Cairo, London Heathrow, Jeddah, Manila, Kochi, Muscat, Istanbul, Mumbai, Delhi, Nairobi, Islamabad, Madrid, Frankfurt, Colombo and Milan.
Qatar Airways said the flights form part of a temporary measure and do not represent a full restart of regular commercial operations.
Passengers have been advised to check the latest updates through the airline’s website, mobile application or travel agents before travelling and not to go to the airport without a confirmed ticket.
