Iran suspends all flights nationwide until further notice

By bnm Tehran bureau June 14, 2025

All flights across Iran's airports have been suspended indefinitely for passenger safety following overnight Israeli strikes, aviation authorities announced on June 14.

Iran Airports and Air Navigation Company confirmed on that no flights would operate at any airport nationwide until further notice, based on directives from the country's Civil Aviation Organisation.

The suspension affects all domestic and international flights as authorities assess the security situation following the attacks on Iranian territory.

Citizens have been advised to avoid travelling to airports during the suspension period and monitor news outlets for updates on when normal flight operations will resume.

The nationwide flight ban comes as Iran's airspace remains closed after Israeli aircraft targeted multiple locations, including areas near Tehran's Mehrabad International Airport.

Airport authorities emphasised the measure was necessary to ensure passenger safety whilst the country responds to the security situation.
