English Premier League football club Tottenham Hotspur have struck a deal with a Turkish clinic that means it has become the team’s official hair transplant partner.

The agreement with ElitHair has led to jokes among football wags about how Tottenham, known as Spurs, “play a high line”. One of the club’s big stars of the past is former Scottish player Steve Archibald, known for his flowing locks during his early eighties career with Totteham, but who did in fact go bald later in life.

The deal was announced in a November 20 press release published by the club, describing Elithair as Spurs’ Official Hair Treatment Partner.

“Elithair is the largest hair transplant clinic in the world and works to the highest global standards of clinical outcome, patient comfort, and comprehensive aftercare,” said the release.

It added: “To announce the partnership, the Club has today released a feel-good film based on the story of a father with new-found self-confidence following hair-loss treatment - confidence that has been passed onto his young son as they attend Spurs matches together.”
