Liechtenstein-based private investment firm Gnomon Capital has acquired Croatian data centre operator DC North from shareholders Cratis and Muraplast, strengthening its presence in the growing digital infrastructure sector, Gnomon Capital's legal adviser Schoenherr said on June 10.

The acquisition comes as demand for data centre capacity continues to rise across Europe, driven by cloud computing, digital transformation projects and growing requirements for secure data storage and processing.

Headquartered in the northern Croatian city of Varaždin, DC North operates a carrier-neutral, Tier III-certified data centre providing colocation, connectivity, disaster recovery and other critical digital infrastructure services to businesses, telecommunications companies, cloud providers and public-sector clients.

The company runs one of Croatia's largest data centre facilities and benefits from its location along key regional network routes, offering high-availability infrastructure for mission-critical operations.

Gnomon Capital, based in Liechtenstein, invests in technology, software, financial technology and digital infrastructure businesses. The firm focuses on long-term ownership and works with management teams to support growth and expansion strategies.

Law firm Schoenherr advised Gnomon Capital throughout the transaction, providing legal support covering negotiations, due diligence, transaction documentation and regulatory assessments, including merger control and foreign direct investment reviews.

The Schoenherr team was led by counsel Dina Vlahov Buhin and included partner Ivan Einwalter and several associates.

The sellers, Croatian technology company Cratis and plastics manufacturer Muraplast, were advised by law firm WAHL & Partners through attorney Neven Marić.
