France may drop labour restrictions on Bulgarians in autumn.

By bne IntelliNews July 16, 2012
France may fully open its labour market for Bulgarians and Romanians this autumn, Senator Aline Archibaud told BNR in an interview. The proposal moved by the Senator will be voted in October. France is among the remaining nine EU countries that are still applying restrictions on Bulgarian workers. The country requires Bulgarian and Romanian workers to obtain a work permit but has a simplified procedure for 150 occupations for which a work permit is issued regardless of the labour market situation. All restrictions have to be lifted by Jan 1, 2014 at the latest.
