Flydubai has announced the launch of new flights to Nairobi International Airport in Kenya starting October 15, operating four times weekly from Terminal 3 at Dubai International Airport, the Dubai-based carrier said on September 17.

The airline will increase its Mombasa operations to daily service from October 1, bringing flydubai's total weekly flights to Kenya to 11. The Mombasa route previously operated four times weekly when it launched in 2024.

Ghaith Al Ghaith, chief executive officer at flydubai, said Kenya represents an important market for the airline. "We are pleased to strengthen our operations with the addition of Nairobi and the increased frequency of our service to Mombasa.

These flights underline the importance of connecting Kenya to Dubai's global aviation hub, enhancing access for trade, travel and tourism between our two countries," Al Ghaith said.

With the launch of Nairobi, flydubai now serves 12 destinations in eight African countries, including Alexandria, Addis Ababa, Al Alamein, Asmara, Cairo, Dar es Salaam, Djibouti, Entebbe, Hargeisa, Mombasa and Zanzibar.

Sudhir Sreedharan, divisional senior vice president of commercial operations for UAE, GCC, Africa and South Asia at flydubai, said the expansion provides more convenient options for customers from the UAE and across the network to access Kenya for business, leisure or visiting friends and family.

The Nairobi flights will operate on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays, with departure from Dubai at 13:30 local time and arrival in Nairobi at 17:55. Return flights depart Nairobi at 18:55 and arrive in Dubai at 01:20.

Return business class fares from Dubai to Nairobi start from AED4,500 ($1,225), whilst economy class lite fares begin at AED1,700 ($463). Return business class fares from Nairobi to Dubai start from $2,000 and economy class lite fares from $500.
