Exports from Kazakhstan to Customs Union increase significantly.

Kazakhstans exports to Customs Union countries Russia and Belarus- totaled USD 7bn from Jul 1, 2010 to Jul 1 2011 (the first year of the functioning of the Customs Union), the national export and investment agency Kaznex has said. This is the largest figure in trade with these countries in the past 5 years. According to Kaznex, the best performances in terms of exports to Russian and Belarus were reported in 2008 and reached USD 6.4bn. Exports in the first year of the Customs Union increased by 43% y/y before the Customs Union was formed. Basis Kazakh exports to Russia and Belarus include coal, iron ore, chrome, copper concentrate, oil products and oil gases, metals and metal products, and chemical products.
