Bank Saderat Iran has denied reports circulating on social media and some news outlets that customer accounts had been frozen, saying all banking services continue to operate normally.
In a statement, the lender said claims that some customers had faced account freezes were "entirely false" and rejected the reports that were published around the internet throughout the day.
The bank said all of its banking systems remain fully operational and that customers continue to have uninterrupted access to both branch-based and digital banking services.
It added that no restrictions, including account freezes or similar measures, had been imposed on customer accounts and stressed that services were continuing as normal.
Bank Saderat also urged media organisations and social media users to verify information with official sources before publishing or sharing reports, particularly during what it described as a sensitive period.
