Specialty chemicals distributor Azelis has acquired Serbian Finkochem, a company specialising in the sales and distribution of a wide range of raw materials for the food and chemical industries, Azelis said in a statement. No financial details about the deal were announced. The acquisition will allow Azelis to strengthen its position in Serbia and the region, as it already has operations in Croatia. "Finkochems business covers some less developed Azelis markets in the Mediterranean East region and it complements our industry focused product range, especially in food and chemical industries," Joris Coppye, group CEO of Azelis, said in the statement. Finkochem was set up in 1991 by Al Metalchem Ltd Cyprus. The company employs 20 people, mostly in sales and marketing, and is based in the capital Belgrade. The company services more than 300 customers. |
