Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan met with UK Foreign Secretary David Lammy in London on June 13 to discuss bilateral ties and regional developments, the Saudi Foreign Ministry announced on June 13.

The meeting addressed areas of joint cooperation and ongoing efforts to tackle regional challenges, but did not note the Israeli airstrikes on Iranian residential, military and nuclear areas and sites, according to the ministry statement.

Prince Musab bin Mohammed Al-Farhan, advisor to the Foreign Minister for Political Affairs, also attended the discussions.

The British Foreign Minister did not, however, tweet about the Israeli strikes or the meeting with his Saudi counterpart on June 13, according to his X account; he only tweeted about the June 12 plane crash in Ahmedabad.

The talks precede next week's Saudi-French conference on Palestine in New York, where international officials will attempt to revive momentum for a two-state solution and outline steps toward Palestinian statehood.

The London meeting occurs against the backdrop of heightened regional tensions following Israeli strikes on Iran, with both Saudi Arabia and the UK seeking to coordinate diplomatic responses to prevent broader escalation.

The timing of Prince Faisal's presence in London coincides with revelations that UK officials had advance knowledge of Israeli military plans, suggesting potential coordination between Riyadh and London on regional crisis management.
