Slovakia's economic sentiment improves slightly in December 2011.

Slovakia's economic sentiment index reversed a six-month downward trend in December, adding 0.2 points to the November level, which was the lowest since April 2010, data from the statistics office showed. The value of the three-month running average of the indicator rose to 89.2 points in December from 89 points in the previous month, as a result of more optimistic evaluations of businessman in trade and industry. Construction entrepreneurs and consumers remained, on the other hand, quite pessimistic. On an annual basis, the economic sentiment in December was by 6.2 points lower. It was by 8.8 points lower than the long-term average.
