Danish banking group Danske bank announced that it plans to open operations centre in Lithuania, which would employ more than 50 people. The centre is to be open in 2013 and will service the banks international payments and other operations. The centre is being relocated from Denmark due to cost-cutting initiatives. Mads Jacobsen, head of international banking at Danske Bank, said that 50 employees could be only the beginning. There are SEB and Barclays operations centre operating in Lithuania. |
