Latvian software quality assurance and testing firm TestDevLab has been acquired by global technology services provider Xoriant. All TestDevLabs shares have been sold, though neither side has disclosed the price, Labs of Latvia, Latvia’s investment promoter, announced on its website on November 24.

With access to Xoriant sales network and multinational client base, TestDevLab can scale far beyond what was possible as an independent Baltic company. This could mean more high-value projects and more specialised tech jobs in Latvia.

Co-founder and co-CEO Ervins Grinfelds said the move had been carefully weighed.

“This acquisition was considered thoughtfully, with careful attention to what it means for our team and clients. TestDevLab was seeking to expand its global reach, while Xoriant was looking to strengthen its quality engineering capabilities. The alignment made this a natural next step for both companies,” he said.

TestDevLab will continue operating under its existing name and brand, with its leadership unchanged. Grinfelds and fellow co-founder Andrejs Frisfelds will remain co-CEOs, and engineering teams will continue working with current clients and projects. The firm expects to step up recruitment as it gains access to Xoriants’s sales channels and broader market.

Xoriant, a US-based digital engineering company headquartered in California, operates across the United States, Europe and Asia. The deal follows a string of recent acquisitions by the group, including FEXLE Services in September 2024, MapleLabs in February 2024 and Thoucentric in August 2023.
