Kazakhstan expects record grain exports.

Kazakhstan expects record grain exports, agriculture minister Asylzhan Mamytbekov has said. The minister explained that it is planned to export 5mn tons of grain until September, thus total shipment abroad would reach 13mn tons. Last year, Kazakhstan exported 5.9mn tons of grain and flour. The minister also informed that Kazakhstan allocated KZT 15bn (USD 102mn) to stimulate grain exports. He also note that it is planned to raise grain exports to China, once Zhetygen-Khorgos railway line is completed. Presently, Kazakhstan and China are connected by only one railway line. The second line is planned to be commissioned in December 2012.
