Bosnias Federation annual consumer price inflation eased to 1.9% y/y in November from 2.3% y/y in October, data from the statistics office showed. The consumer price index (CPI) was unchanged in monthly terms in November after edging up 0.1% m/m in October. The sectors that recorded the biggest annual price growth in November were alcohol and tobacco (9.9% in Nov the same as in Oct), transport (2.8% vs. 4.8% in Oct) and food and non-alcoholic beverages (2.4% in Nov vs. 2.6% in Oct). The annual growth in the Federations industrial producer price index (PPI) also decelerated - to 0.6% y/y in November from 0.9% y/y a month earlier, the statistics office said in a separate statement. On a monthly basis, the PPI remained unchanged in November after edging up 0.1% in October. November mining and quarrying producer prices rose by an annual 2.8% after climbing 3% a month earlier. Electricity, gas and water supply prices remained flat on the year after increasing 2.4% in October. Manufacturing prices edged up 0.2% on the year after remaining unchanged in October. The consumer price index inflation should remain moderate reflecting weak domestic demand. The Federations annual consumer price inflation slowed down to 2.9% at the end of 2011 from 3.1% at end-2010. Yet, the CPI saw a 3.6% average annual growth in 2011 versus 1.8% in 2010. |
