Macedonias building permits number down 3.3% y/y in November 2012.

The number of building permits issued in Macedonia dropped by 3.3% y/y to 232 in November, after decreasing by 3.7% y/y in October, according to statistics office data. The expected value of the planned construction projects declined by 4.4% y/y to MKD 2.85bn (EUR 46.3mn) in November, reversing a 29.1% y/y increase in the previous month. Out of the 232 building permits issued in November, 177 were for the construction of buildings, 18 for civil engineering works and 37 for reconstruction works. Most of the building permits (172 or 74.1% of the total) were issued to private individuals.
