Kazakhstan raises grain harvest forecast to 18.9mn tones this year.

Kazakhstan raised its grain harvest forecast to 18.9mn tones this year, the Agriculture Ministry has informed. Earlier, Kazakhstan expected to harvest around 17mn tones of grain. Last year, the country harvested 12.2mn tones due to drought. Kazakhstan is among top 10 world grain exporters. It exports grain to neighbouring Central Asian countries as well as to China and Azerbaijan and other international markets.
