Iran's central bank has said no new disruption has been reported across the banking network, days after a cyberattack hit systems that were returning to service, Rokna reported on July 6.
The reassurance follows an incident that slowed financial operations and echoed an earlier attack on Bank Sepah, with the central bank moving to confirm that services previously affected are now operating normally as the country works to restore stability to its payment infrastructure.
No new disruption has been reported in the banking network or at banks that had earlier faced problems, the central bank's public relations director said.
The Sahab, Pol and Paya systems are functioning normally, according to the director. The Satna and Chekavak systems were closed on July 5 and July 6.
Iranian officials have rejected claims by a hacking group that customer data was lost or leaked during the attack, saying investigations found no evidence of any release of information. Officials had earlier described the recent incident as technically similar to the Bank Sepah attack, though they said the source had not yet been fully identified.
The central bank has said measures taken after the earlier attack strengthened backup infrastructure and data protection, and that any negative effects on customers' credit records would be corrected. Efforts to restore full stability to affected systems were continuing, officials said, with replacement systems built on a different defensive structure and faster recovery times cited as their main advantage.
