Internet users in Montenegro up 12.5% y/y in November 2011.

The total number of broadband connections (including ADSL, WiMAX, WiFi, KDS) in Montenegro expanded by 12.5% y/y to 75,427 in November 2011, the telecommunications agency announced. The number increased by 1.5% on a monthly basis. The ADSL connections dominated the market with a 84.9% share and reached 64,034, up 13% y/y. WiMax connections registered a decrease both in the number of users (by 1.5% y/y to 7,272) and in their market share - from 11.01% in November 2010 to 9.64% in November 2011. The market share of WiFi connections in Montenegro rose just 0.3pps from a year ago to 3.9%. The total number of prepaid and post-paid users of mobile operators who accessed the internet in November was 270,195, out of them some 35.9% (97,036) used 3G technologies.
