EE: Estonian branch of Tele2 revenues down by 2% y/y in Q1.

Estonian branch of Tele2 mobile telecom recorded revenues of EUR 22mn in Q1, down by 2% y/y. The company attributes the decline to lower interconnection fees. EBITDA of the company stood at EUR 6.0mn, up by 4% y/y. Tele2 has around 0.5mn subscribers in Estonia. CFO of Tele2, Argo Virkebau, indicated that smartphones sales grew by 63% y/y in Q1, with large proportion of them becoming mobile data users. Number of customers increased by 22,000 y/y in Q1.
