Dar Global has announced plans to launch Trump Plaza Jeddah in its second collaboration with The Trump Organization, following the launch of Trump Tower Jeddah in December 2024, the company announced on September 29.
The development marks the latest collaboration between the company of US President-elect Donald Trump and Dar Global, the London-listed international arm of Saudi Arabia's Dar Al Arkan Real Estate Development Company.
Strategically located along King Abdulaziz Road in central Jeddah, Trump Plaza Jeddah is valued at over $1bn and will feature a mixed-use community including premium residences, serviced apartments, Grade-A office space and exclusive townhouses.
The development will feature a Central Park-inspired landscaped park running the length of the development, anchoring the residences and serviced apartments whilst bringing Manhattan-style urban design to Jeddah.
Trump Plaza Jeddah integrates living, working and leisure into one destination, with offices adjacent to serviced apartments and premium residences. Home offices will be incorporated into private residences, whilst a premium retail courtyard and curated food and beverage concepts will enrich the lifestyle offering.
"We are honoured to expand our footprint in Saudi Arabia with Trump Plaza Jeddah. This project embodies our vision of excellence by blending world-class hospitality, modern living and dynamic business environments," said Eric Trump, Executive Vice President of The Trump Organization.
Ziad El Chaar, CEO of Dar Global, said Trump Plaza Jeddah represents "one of the most ambitious developments Dar Global has undertaken to date."
"By combining residential, serviced and office components with a Central Park-inspired landscape, we are delivering a unique lifestyle destination that reflects both Manhattan's vibrancy and Jeddah's strategic role as a cultural and commercial hub," El Chaar said.
The project represents continued collaboration between Dar Global and the Trump Organization in Saudi Arabia's expanding luxury real estate market, as the kingdom pursues economic diversification under Vision 2030.
In July 2024, the Trump Organization announced a partnership with Dar Global to build a high-rise luxury tower in Dubai. The development includes branded residential units and a Trump hotel.
"We are excited to expand our presence in the Middle East," Eric Trump, the second son of Donald Trump, and executive vice president of The Trump Organization, said in a statement at the time. In 2022, Trump’s company partnered with Dar Al Arkan to create a luxury resort and golf complex in Oman’s capital Muscat (an aside: South Korea’s president is said to be practising his golf swing ahead of a hoped-for encounter with Trump).
The AIDA project includes a Trump-branded hotel, villas, and an 18-hole golf course overlooking the Gulf of Oman. The Omani government, heavily invested in the infrastructure, provided land for the project. Concerns over labour practices were subsequently raised, with migrant workers reportedly facing challenging conditions and low pay.
