Bulgaria to pay EUR 511mn in subsidies to agricultural producers in Feb 2013.

The government will pay approximately BGN 1bn (EUR 511mn) in agriculture subsidies this week, a release on the website of the ministry of finance informs. The ministry clarified that the amount will be paid from the fiscal reserve and will be reimbursed by the European Commission later on. The ministry adds that it has updated the calendar for issuing government securities in order to guarantee the stability of the fiscal reserves level. An auction for six-month T-Bills was scheduled for Feb 20 and the amount on offer was set at BGN 800mn.
