Alliance One adds tobacco processing capacity in Macedonia.

Leaf tobacco merchant Alliance One has opened a new tobacco processing facility in Kavadarci, kurir.mk reported. The capacity of the new unit is 80% bigger than that of the company's existing facility in Macedonia. The new investment is almost EUR 4mn. In Macedonia, Alliance One works with 9,000 tobacco growers and this year has signed contracts for over 6,700 tonnes of tobacco.
