Albanias minister of innovation Genc Pollo and the UN Development Programme (UNDP) in Albania have signed a project for modernisation of the countrys IT infrastructure, UNDP said on its website. The project includes technical assistance to create a complete legal framework as well as strengthening the public and private partnerships in this regard. It also foresees the establishment of a national broadband network, which will enable central and local authorities to increase the number and quality of the e-services provided to citizens. We remind that the government has launched a wide-scale imitative called "Digital Albania", which aims to improve the competitiveness of the local economy.
