Toyota Turkey to suspend production at Adapazari plant for eight days.

Toyota Turkey announces that it will suspend production at its Adapazari plant for eight days between April 21 and May 2 due to supply chain problems occurring as a result of the earthquake in Japan. The decision taken by Toyota Europe for suspending production will be applied in other production plants in Europe including the UK, France and Poland together with Turkey. The company also announces that production at Toyota plant in Japan will commence with 50% capacity on April 18. CEO of Toyota Turkey, Orhan Ozer, says that the company will not revise the production target for 2011 which currently stands at 95,000 units and will not fire any of its 2,800 employees.
