Switzerland grants EUR 1.25mn to improve financial reporting in Albania.

The Swiss State Secretariat for Economic Affairs (SECO) has granted through the World Banks International Bank for Reconstruction and Development (IBRD) EUR 1.25mn to finance an Albanian project aimed at enhancing the corporate financial reporting, Albanian finance ministry said on its website. The Corporate Financial Reporting Enhancement Project envisages improvement of the legal framework in the area of corporate financial reporting, strengthening the capacity of the National Accounting Council as well as the establishment of an audit oversight system. The finance ministry will hire a local project coordinator and an international strategic consultant for the project.
